Fort Collins

The fourth largest city in Colorado, Fort Collins has been named “Best Place to Live” by Money magazine for several years in a row.  A large college town, home to Colorado State University at the foothills of the Northern Colorado Rockies, Fort Collins offers a variety of entertainment and recreation opportunities. Located 40 miles south of Cheyenne, Wyoming and 60 miles north of Denver, Fort Collins can be easily accessed via either airport or the regional FC-Loveland Airport. Outdoor adventures include white water rafting, kayaking, and fly fishing the Cache La Poudre River, bicycling the many miles of paths and lanes through town, and hiking the surrounding trails and nearby mountains.  The cultural capital of Northern Colorado, there are many indoor entertainment options include touring some of the more than 1,800 historic properties of the town, taking in a show at the University Center for the Arts, and visiting the many art galleries and boutiques of downtown.  As the craft brewing capital of Colorado, a range of microbreweries reside in Fort Collins including New Belgium Brewing Company, Odell Brewing Company, and even Anheuser-Busch, the largest brewers in the world, have a brewery there.

One of the largest event venues available is the Budweiser Events Center in nearby Loveland, part of the larger 374,000 square foot fair ground complex known as The Ranch, the Center is a 7,200 seat multi-purpose venue.  The in-town Lincoln Center has a performance hall and several meeting rooms, and the Sunset Event Center is ideal for parties of up to 450 people with a large space and dance floor area.  The Fort Collins Marriott has a 7,200+ square foot ballroom and several meeting and breakout rooms in addition to an outdoor pavilion, restaurant, salon, and health club.  The historic grand Victorian Tapestry House and Event Center, situated on the old Hawkeye Ranch site, is an ideal location for intimate affairs for up to 225 guests.

The city of Fort Collins offers special events throughout the year including Museum’s FAC Free Concerts, Colorado Marathon, the FC Jazz Festival, the TriMedia Film Festival, the Bohemian Nights concert series, Mud Brigade,
the Larimer County Fair and PRC Rodeo, and the Gnarley Barley Brew Fest, among others.  As the local New Belgium Brewery says “follow your folly” to Fort Collins.
