The Fort Restaurant
At The Fort Restaurant we provide your guests with a true Colorado Experience. Nestled in the foothills of Morrison, CO, we boast award winning views of downtown Denver and the foothills. We are the perfect venue for international and out of town guests looking for a Western, mountain experience. Modeled after a 1830’s fur trading post we are one of the largest adobe structures in the United States and was the first restaurant to have Colorado Bison on our menu. For the last 20+ years, our Tesoro Foundation has donated to over 40 American Indian Artists and in 2023 we celebrated out 60th anniversary!
Besides being one of Colorado’s oldest institutions, we pride ourselves in creating unique, one-of-a-kind experiences for your guests. We can provide you with anything from a simple cocktail hour and dinner to an event with entertainment and activities! We have also partnered with vendors who can provide your group with custom team building activities and lots of other fun things to do! We love to be creative! To top it off, we have plenty of free parking for buses & stagecoaches! For large groups, we offer half and full buyouts.

For anyone staying in downtown Denver or Denver Tech Center, we are a 30 minute drive from both areas. We are 10 minutes from Lakewood and 15-20 minutes from Littleton and Golden, CO. All areas have plenty of accommodations for different group sizes. For large groups, we have plenty of free parking for stage coaches and busses.
Nestled in the foothills of Morrison, CO, The Fort Restaurant is a romantic getaway for any couple. Our ceremony space boasts beautiful views of downtown Denver, the foothills, and horses grazing in our pastures. Situated on 50 acres of land, we offer plenty of photo opportunities with a “Colorado” backdrop. We are also a great venue for rehearsal and wedding welcome parties!
For your reception, we have plenty of spaces to choose from, including our covered patio with three firepits, two water features and gorgeous views of downtown Denver and the foothills. Dance areas available depending on the space chosen. We offer a wide array of customizable menu and serving options. Our menu features Colorado Bison, Elk, Quail, and for the less adventurous we have beef, poultry, and fish options! Although we are a steak house, we do have several vegetarian and vegan options as well! For the bar we offer customizable bar arrangements and several bar packages to suit your needs. Being that we are a restaurant, we can offer a large array of beer, wine, and liquor to your guests.
