Destination – Vail

By Susan Proffitt

There’s something about visiting a new place that brings out a person’s adventurous side. Is it the crisp mountain air? The sight of so many people enjoying activities like mountain biking, rafting or taking in the new mountaintop roller coaster and zipline in Vail Resort’s Epic Discovery, their shouts of “whoo-hoo” echoing in the wind? Or is it the idea that this is an opportunity that you may not get again? A chance to step out of the ordinary and go for it—whatever “it” might be.

Call us crazy, but there’s something about being in the Vail Valley that brings on the adventure bug. Pretty much everyone has heard of Vail for the fabulous skiing and winter activities, but the warmer months make for a distinct experience that is truly special.

  • – The thrill of ziplining across a mountain valley or floating down a sun-speckled river.
  • – The multitude of festivals and concerts that take place in the summer months.
  • – The inhalation of the fresh mountain air while simply taking a stroll next to the river and trying not to pinch yourself that you’re really here in this breathtakingly beautiful valley.

All that, and with easy access from Denver International Airport or Eagle County Regional Airport for out-of-town guests and a convenient location in the heart of Colorado for in-state visitors from any corner of our great state.

The Vail Valley is rich with history and natural beauty and has a strong sense of community that appeals to a large variety of groups of most every size and budget. Whether visiting strictly for business, team-building or as part of an incentive trip, every guest arrives with a sense of wonder and leaves with a greater level of inspiration with memories to last a lifetime.

In fact, plentiful team-building opportunities await for the adventure seekers, art-lovers, foodies, sun worshipers, craft beer aficionados and everyone in between. The only question is, “What am I going to try today?” Meeting group participants in Vail will run out of time before they run out of things to do, see and try. We dare you to prove us wrong!
