Destination Colorado Focus on: Vail and Beaver Creek – “Visit Vail Valley

By Danielle McNair, Sales Manager at Vail Valley Partnership, the Chamber and Tourism Bureau

Offering world-class resorts, stunning scenery, unique lodging and much more, the Vail Valley isn’t your typical meetings destination. Home to Vail and Beaver Creek, the Vail Valley offers a wide array of unique off-site venues, superior guest service and exceptional team-building opportunities. We offer the ideal mountain location to host your group or meeting from large to small – the Vail Valley has it all!

Accessibility: With non-stop air service from across the country, getting to the Vail Valley becomes even easier when your attendees discover the convenience of flying directly into Eagle County Airport, located just 30 minutes west of Vail and 25 minutes west of Beaver Creek on Interstate 70. Once you’ve landed, major rental car agencies, reliable shuttle services or luxury transportation companies are readily available at the local airport to assist you with all of your transportation needs. No need to worry about getting in and around Vail because the Town’s Transit Department boasts the country’s largest free, year-round bus service that seamlessly connects the villages in Vail. Beaver Creek Resort and the Town of Avon also provide free shuttle services to connect their communities. Did we mention that many of the Vail Valley’s transportation buses utilize hybrid fuels to support conservation and environmental efforts? Now getting here just became a lot easier and eco-friendly.

“Rent a Village”: What is truly unique about hosting a meeting in the Vail Valley is the ability to “rent a village.” Designed after the alpine villages of Europe, groups are easily accommodated in our pedestrian-focused villages and will find no difficulty when it comes to arranging business meetings or scheduling group excursions. Because smaller properties are intermixed throughout our villages, a large group can stay at multiple properties closely situated to one another. Vail and Beaver Creek also offer an extensive and electric mix of restaurants, boutiques and shops. Where else can you stroll cobblestone streets, grab slopeside sushi, take après drinks on-mountain and dine at NFL Hall of Fame Inductee John Elway’s new Vail steakhouse? Only in the Vail Valley.

Unique Venues and Activities: There is certainly no shortage of unique lodging options and venues for your group in the Vail Valley. A plethora of convenient condominiums, charming alpine lodges and convention hotels allow us to accommodate groups up to 2,000. Want to hold a meeting in the fresh mountain air? Consider hopping on the gondola or chairlift and convene at a variety of unique meeting venues from on-mountain chalets to authentic western ranches. While here, guests also have the ability to participate in a number of outdoor activities like high-flying zip-line adventures 200 feet above the ground, white-water rafting trips, relaxing fly-fishing outings or exhilarating jeep tour excursions.

The Vail Valley offers something for everyone and traveling here allows you to get away from it all but still have it all! From the mountain views to the meeting venues, your group will have an unforgettable stay.
