Lindsey Rohrbaugh is recognized as this year’s Individual of the Year, and Realize Colorado DMC is recognized as this year’s Member of the Year. These honors were awarded at Destination Colorado’s Annual Meeting on Dec. 5 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.
Destination Colorado’s Peak Performer of the Year awards are given to members in recognition of their leadership and commitment to promoting the meeting and group industry on behalf of the entire state of Colorado.
INDIVIDUAL OF THE YEAR: Lindsey Rohrbaugh
Destination Colorado is honored to present its 2019 Peak Performer Individual of the Year to Lindsey Rohrbaugh, Sales & Conference Services Manager at Visit Fort Collins.
Lindsey knows the importance of being a team player and has participated on a number of Destination Colorado committees in her tenure with the board. From the very beginning she put the needs of the association first, and has been a tremendous asset in helping create and develop great programs on behalf of Destination Colorado. Rohrbaugh put together one of the most successful Customer Appreciation Events in Destination Colorado’s history this year. While she had help and support from her community, she was the force behind the event, insuring that every detail was covered from beginning to end. Because of her efforts, Destination Colorado’s Customer Appreciation Event was a great success and left a positive impression on attending suppliers and meeting planners.
“Lindsey is smart and witty, and she gets the job done with a great deal of humor and confidence. She is a delight to work with..” says Destination Colorado Executive Director Janie McCullough.Photo left to right: Ellen Collins, Janie McCullough, Lindsey Rohrbaugh and Kathy Reak.

COMPANY OF THE YEAR: Realize Colorado, DMC
Destination Colorado’s Peak Performer Company of the Year is recognized by our association as the “best of the best” based on their 2019 efforts and commitment to Destination Colorado and the meetings industry.
Realize Colorado spent countless volunteer hours assisting with site selection, menu and décor for two extremely successful Destination Colorado road show lunches in downtown and mid-town Atlanta. Because of the creativity and dedication Realize put forth, these were two of our best road shows ever, exposing Atlanta planners to what Colorado is capable of delivering. Realize Colorado also continued to provide time and creativity to a number of additional Destination Colorado programs, and always with an enthusiastic and contagious attitude.
“Realize Colorado perfectly demonstrates the Colorado spirit for which we are known. They are not only dedicated to achieving the best end result, but they do so with the creativity and flexibility necessary to meet every budget and group need. Regardless of any challenges presented during the process, they remain calm under fire and are really fun to work with…” says Destination Colorado Board President Kathy Reak.
